It is after difficult considerations and with a heavy heart that we have decided to stop organizing Løkken Antique Fair after 46 years.
In 2024, we unfortunately had to cancel the antique fair due to illness. Subsequently, we have not been able to come to agreement with Løkken Idrætscenter on the conditions for organizing the Løkken Antique Fair in 2025. Since the conditions had changed significantly from previous years, we tried several times to start a dialogue with the board, but they would not accommodate us. This year, we have been offered a collaboration with the association Dansk Vintage Design og Kunst, which held an event last year in our absence. However, due to lack of trust, we have said no thanks.
Because of this, the negative things have become dominant. Since we could not agree to the conditions set by Løkken Idrætscenter, the only option is to stop.
The fact that Løkken Antique Fair is ending also means that the last classic antique fair with the construction of standing walls is now history. In the past, there used to be many antique fairs spread all over the country in, among others, Hillerød, Forum and Børsen in Copenhagen, Tønder, Åbenrå, Rødekro, Ringkøbing and Viborg.
We are incredibly proud of the 46 years where we have organized Løkken Antique Fair. It is with great pleasure that we think back on the tens of thousands of visitors who have walked through the doors of Løkken Hallen over the years in search of antiques. For many, it has been a tradition to stop by, and there are several people who have visited the fair for 20, 30 and even 40 years. At the same time, Løkken Antique Fair could not have been possible without the many exhibitors who have supported the fair over the years and presented high-quality antiques. We also send a warm thank you to all those who have helped behind the facade and to those of you who have stopped by our stand over the years and had a chat. In this way, Løkken Antique Fair has lived up to its motto: quality and tradition.
Now we will focus our efforts on our own store, Gule Længe Antik, in Lønstrup, where we will have more time to search for exciting antiques.
